I am delighted to announce Nom Nom’s Organic Pregnancy Stretch Butter Camellia and Vanilla has taken gold and Baby Butter Calendula and Evening Primrose won silver in the family skincare category at the 2014 FreeFrom Skincare Awards.
The organisers say “The awards were founded to encourage manufacturers of skincare products that are ‘free from’ many of the allergens, chemicals, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, ethical and health concerns” These can be especially important considerations for parents and pregnant women.
The judging process involved a four stage process including a rigorous month long assessment by testers recruited by The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible.
Stretch Butter reviews from testers
“Lovely texture, feels thick and luxurious, glides on easily, great fragrance”
“It melted straight into my skin and felt very nourishing without being overly greasy. I love it!”
“No stretchmarks from this pregnancy and hope that this butter will continue the battle against them!”
“I love the labelling; it is simple and stylish and would make a great gift for an expectant mother”
“Promises to target the tightness and itchiness of expanding skin during pregnancy and it does. Skin felt soft, moisturised and relieved of itchiness.”
For Baby Butter they said:
“Lovely soft texture, moisturised well, absorbed quickly, soothed baby skin after a bath, no irritation, would buy this and recommend to other mums”
“Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful – a joy to use”
“I was happy it was natural and despite my son’s sensitive skin, I was confident that he would be OK”
The award was presented by Janey Lee Grace along with NAT Origin’s James Sutton (sponsor of the Family Skincare Category).
