Celebrate Organic Beauty and Wellbeing Week and enjoy certified organic skincare for pregnancy and baby with our special discount!

It’s that time of year again – Organic September with Organic Beauty and Wellbeing Week! (6 – 12th) – And this year the campaign feels even more relevant than before.

We’re all becoming more aware of our impact on the planet with recent global images of burning forests, record temperatures and flash flooding, as well as the upcoming COP21 taking place later this year in Glasgow. These concerns can feel more magnified when you are expecting a baby – after all this is the legacy we are creating for the next generation. It can feel overwhelming but it is encouraging to know that we can affect real difference by making positive choices.

The OBWW campaign this year reminds us that Nature Has the Answer and highlights the importance of choosing certified organic for your beauty and wellbeing products for its benefits to wildlife, the health of our soil and helping to close the loop of sustainability.

In a recent post I shared the 3 big reasons why I chose organic certification for the Nom Nom range Take a look. And to help you choose organic, we have a special Nom Nom discount to share for OBWW – details below.

Did you know that, unlike food, it is not currently a legal requirement for natural and organic skincare to be certified? This makes it impossible to determine if a product is genuine, especially when many companies make misleading claims and label products as organic while using minimal (or even no) organic ingredients!

One way to make sure the skincare you choose is truly organic, is to look for a certification logo from the Soil Association and COSMOS (a harmonisation standard for several European organic certifiers). As well as guaranteeing organic status, they have tight regulations on permitted chemicals, ensure high levels of gentle plant based ingredients, plus ensuring reduced packaging and increased recycled content.

By looking for the logo you can be sure that the skincare products you use contain only what you need to cleanse, soothe and protect your skin (and nothing you don’t want).
